Empire, Minoan Period, Hellenistic
1. WEEKLY LEARNING AND INSPIRATION
Intro Reflection:
This week I learned about the distinctions between the cultures and architecture of Rome and Greece. The intricacy and the engineering of Roman culture is truly astonishing. Differently, Greece offers wondrous temples , and artistic sculptures. These beautiful pieces truly inspire architecture and engineering today!

3. WEEKLY REFLECTION
This week, I was really inspired to see the level of perfectionism and precision in these gorgeous structures. Despite these ideals, there is still so much diversity of these designs and architectural approaches. The delicacy and elegance of this era is truly astonishing to learn about and it left me in awe!

Sammie, I love the pictures you chose this week! Greek and Roman details in designs are so intriguing and classy to me. The current application section is such a good reminder of how these ideas can still be implemented today. I also love your inclusion of furniture through the lounge chairs. Great job this week!
ReplyDeleteHi Samantha, I really like the imagery used, the details of the orders and ancient drawings. It is so cool to see us use the design elements from the past, proportions are favorite from this time, so amazing
ReplyDeleteSammie, You did a great job showing the differences between Greek and Roman architecture and explaining how their designs continue to influence architecture today. Your section on Donato Bramante was also interesting and added a nice connection to later architectural styles. Overall, your post was informative, creative, and well organized. I think you did a really good job!
ReplyDeleteHi Sam! Your blog layout is beautiful as always, and the front cover image especially caught my eye. I appreciate how you not only discussed the style concept of the time in words, but also displayed throughout your blog through images as well as detailing that represents the era well. Nice job!
ReplyDeleteSam,
ReplyDeleteI loved your Blog this week. You present information in a very creative and visual manner. I enjoyed looking at the exquisite furniture you shared with us. I also appreciated the current examples. For your "one step further" section which focused on Donato Bramante- please provide us with more then one sentence of information. I am looking for several paragraphs. Great job! 48/50 points
